About Our Web Site

The House Rabbit Society web site went online in November of 1994. Originally we were located at MIT, and in the summer of 1996 we acquired our own domain name and moved the site to its current location. Since then, hundreds of thousands of people have visited our site; we've had over 10 million hits to date. We've put together some graphs of our usage statistics for the past year, as well as a list of the awards and praise our site has accumulated over the past few years.

Paige Parsons is the site administrator. She originally designed and implemented the site on a Macintosh using BBEdit and Photoshop. She is responsible for the site's maintenence, and is assisted by a crew of volunteers. Visit Paige's personal web page to find out more about Paige and her rabbits.

The resources supporting our site are provided courtesy of Hurricane Electric. All nonprofits should be so lucky!

House Rabbit Society, and the House Rabbit Society web site, are brought to you by an all- volunteer staff. We consider all our work for the rabbits a labor of love.
