Over 100 rabbits rescued from backyard breeder in Martinez
Monday 28 June 2010 at 10:41 amA local rabbit rescuer named Michelle came across a neighborhood garage sale in Martinez where rabbits were being sold--in the backyard of the house was over 100 rabbits, living in miserable conditions and rapidly multiplying. Volunteers sprung into action and rescued all of these rabbits, many of whom are small babies. Suzi Hibbard, who rescues for the Martinez shelter, has taken it upon herself to foster the entire batch of bunnies. Rabbit Haven, Harvest Home and House Rabbit Society are all assisting with donations and spay/neuter services.

These rabbits need you. Please help if you can. The rabbits need your donations to cover medical bills for spay/neuter surgeries, medications for mites and infections. We need foster homes, permanent homes, and sanctuary spots for these bunnies. Most of all, we need permanent homes for these rabbits.
