Can a broken couple get back together?
Well, of course they can!
About a year ago, my 2 famous rabbits, Hershey and Pepper started fighting. I think Hershey held a grudge over a carrot but nevertheess, he became a bully to Pepper. I separated them but continued to keep them side by side in separate pens. When I cleaned the rabbit room, I would put them in the bathroom ( neutral territory) to "hang out" with each other. They were so scared that Hershey dared not pick on Pepper. And very often, I would find them huddled up together.
Slowly but surely, I allowed them to spend more and more time together until finally, I have them back together in a new pen. They seemed to have missed being together and hopefully this time, things will stay happy between them!
Now, if I can just get Peanut and Charlie together, all of my bunnies will have pals. I truly believe that rabbits live longer and have healthier lives when they have a partner or 2. Cocoa, who is now at least 9, has been with Pumpkin for over 3 years and is still quite active and eager to binky.
Here's to bonded pairs!
