The House Rabbit Society is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization with two primary goals: 1) to rescue rabbits and 2) to educate the public.
The Southeastern PA-DE Chapter of the House Rabbit Society is located in Newport, Delaware. Shelter hours are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call (302) 683-9009 for more information about any of the shelter's rabbits, for directions, to arrange a visit or for an adoption appointment. Free rabbit care information is also available, or see the national HRS home page at http://www.rabbit.org/ for information about rabbit care in general.
We do not take owner-surrendered rabbits unless they were originally adopted from the Southeastern PA-DE HRS shelter. Please work with your local humane agency.
