Henri
Hello! My name is Henri and I'm a handsome small and white Rex rabbit. I act very young and energetic and can usually be found playing with my toys in my cage and outside in the bunny play area. I was found my the kind people at the Burrow Inn romping around at Lake Merced. It was suspected that I was dumped out there to fend for myself. I had no defenses and nothing to eat and had to depend on the kindness of people to throw some scaps at me to feed me. Now I'm safe here at the Burrow Inn and looking for a kind person and/or family to adopt me. Will that person be you?

Crissy
Hello! My name is Crissy and I'm a beautiful white Angora rabbit. I am currently about 1 year old. I was brought into the shelter as a little baby bunny after a pet shop was confiscated due to poor living conditions for us. I had a mate but he was adopted and I was left behind. I grew up at the shelter but began to get a little willful and cage protective which made the volunteers fearful that I wouldn't have time at the shelter to find the perfect home who would except me for who I am. That's why I'm here at the Burrow Inn. Here I can be who am I and be loved and cared for just like every other rabbit here without living in constant fear of being euthanized or being placed in a home that might not understand my personality. Basically, I'm a little princess and am very vocal about what I need and want. However, when I trust you, I am a love bug. If you're looking for a rabbit to be the only rabbit at home, then I'm your girl. Contact the Burrow Inn if you are interested in meeting me!

Mickey
Hi! there I'm Mickey, a 7 month old neutered male mini rex. I weigh about 4 pounds. I was found as a stray on the side of the road near a park and brought to Peninsula Humane Society. I had some minor health problems when I arrived at the shelter which are completely cleared up now. The shelter was very over-crowed with rabbits and a nice lady from the House Rabbit Society came and got me and brought me to the foster home. She says I'm very docile and I'm a gentle soul. I think that means I would make a good companion. Maybe if you had a female rabbit you wanted to get a friend for I would make a good friend for them too. My fur feels just like velvet and I LOVE to be petted.

Max
Hi! My name is Max and I am a 3 month old mini lop male bunny. I was living at the San Jose shelter before the good people at the House Rabbit Society placed me into my current foster home. Right now, I am being treated for snuffles but am still available for adoptions. I’ve been told that I have a very outgoing personality and seem to love everyone that I meet. Update: My bout with snuffles is all gone and I am all better!

Boo
Hi there! My name is Boo and I’m a 1 year 3 month old neutered male bunny. I was brought in to the Peninsula Humane Society as a stray when I was only about 6 weeks old. It was Halloween time, which is how I got my name. When the shelter got too full, I was rescued by the House Rabbit Society. I am very outgoing and really, really like people. I would also like to add that I have EXCELLENT litter box habits. Because of my looks, I know it’s usually a little hard for bunnies like me to be adopted out, however like me, all New Zealand bunnies are known for having sweet and mellow personalities. Why doncha check me out so I can prove it to you?

Hoopers
Hi! My name is Hoopers and I’m a neutered bunny who is a little over 1 years old. I was rescued by a woman, from a very neglectful situation and brought in to the Peninsula Humane Society. For awhile, I had been adopted by a family with children who got along with me magnificently. Unfortunately, I developed malocclusion, which meant that my teeth had to be trimmed on a regular basis and my owner didn’t want to take care of me anymore. Although I was lucky enough to be rescued by the House Rabbit Society, I would still love to find a loving home with humans that will give me some TLC. I am very mellow as well as outgoing and according to the volunteers that play with me, I get along with EVERYONE! Another plus is that I have very good litter box habits too! This means that I really neat and clean! I would make a great first time bunny for someone and hope that there could be some children in that family too who would love me and give me a forever home!

Dixie
My name is Dixie and I am a very dainty and very demur bunny that I've been told has a very sweet personality. Besides just looking pretty though, the added bonus is that I'm very much a cuddle bunny! I am very comfortable being held and won’t try to wriggle or squirm out of your arms. I can also can be very acrobatic and love showing off my jumps and leaps to everyone! I am 1 year old and a bit on the small side, weighing in at about 4 lbs. My brothers and I were brought in the shelter when we were babies and now I am the only one left. Please adopt me soon! Like my brother, I’m looking for my forever home.

Chloe and Chelsea
We're Chloe and Chelsea, 2 year-old female rabbits who are a bonded pair. Our owner surrendered us to the Peninsula Humane Society because he didn't have time for us anymore. We were rescued by the House Rabbit Society and now living in foster care waiting for our new home. We're extremely mellow girls and we adore each other like crazy. Our foster mommy usually finds us grooming and lounging together all the time. We're a quiet and sweet pair, and would love a new home soon!

Harley
Hello, I'm Harley. I am a 2 year old neutered Harlequin rabbit. I would like to share you my story about how I was rescued and saved at the "11th hour" by the House Rabbit Society. I was found in front of someone's house in Daly City and brought to the Peninsula Humane Society in San Mateo. I had a wire collar squeezed around my neck with a big bell attached to it; my owner probably put it on me when I was a baby not realizing that I would outgrow it. When I got to the shelter, the collar actually had to be cut off because it was so tight! Unfortunately, at the time I was brought in, the shelter was just way to full to house any more bunnies, so they asked the people at the House Rabbit Society if they could come and rescue me. They agreed, and now I’m happily waiting at my foster mommy’s home for a loving family to adopt me. Because I am so mellow and gentle, I would make a good ‘first time’ bunny for someone. If not, then perhaps maybe a companion for an already spayed female bunny? Please come and see me soon!

Mo
Hi! I'm Mo, and I am a grey, 4 year old, 3 pound, neutered chinchilla-like dwarf boy bunny. Wow, what a mouthful huh? My story is that when I was 6 weeks old I was brought into the Peninsula Humane Society. I had an injury to my hind leg. They weren’t sure what actually happened to me but think I may have been injured by a dog or maybe even a raccoon. Nevertheless, the good doctors at the shelter patched me right up and the people from the House Rabbit Society came down and rescued me and brought me to a foster home so that I could do some healing in a nice and quiet atmosphere. Within a few short weeks, I was good as new! I’m maybe even better than before! When I’m outside in the play area I'm able to hop and jump and run with the best of them! My foster mommy says that I have a delightful personality and interact really, really well with people. Added to that, I have very good litter box habits and keep my cage pretty clean. So in a nutshell, I’m both a people bunny and really clean! Perfect combo doncha think? However, because of my really small size, I would do best in a home that does not have any young children.

Merry and Pippen
Merry and Pippen here! We’re named after characters from the movie, Lord of the Rings. We are neutered male bunnies and a little over 3 years old. We were brought to the Peninsula Humane Society after a very kind woman discovered us just hanging out in the middle of a neighborhood street. She searched for our owners for four whole days before she brought us in. We are a very mellow and gentle pair with a little curiousness on the side! After our time was up, the House Rabbit Society came and took us to live with a family who was willing to foster us. We love to go exploring and our foster mommy thinks that we are very smart. Please give us a new home. We are waiting to go on a new adventure with our new family!

Corky
Corky here! I am a 3 year-old white New Zealand bunny, with a delightful personality! My foster mommy says that I have all of the characteristics of a perfect bunny companion. I love my playtime and can even be a bit of an escape artist (at least I’m smart right?). The one thing that I really do love to do though is snuggle down in my human’s lap and would be an excellent companion when watching a movie or reading a book. A big plus...I have excellent litter box habits!

Amelia
My name is Amelia and I’m a beautiful 4 year-old standard brown-colored Agouti bunny. I was found at Lake Merced in San Francisco by my current foster mommy while she was walking her dog. After much coaxing, I agreed to come out of the bushes where she found me and let her “catch” me. I’ve been told that I have a very gentle way about me and love people a lot. I am also very inquisitive and love to explore every chance I get. My most favorite thing is when someone rubs my nose; you will actually see me close my eyes and start relaxing and purring too! I also do well around gentle dogs and cats.

Bert
My name is Bert and I’m a special needs bunny. You see, I was in a fight with a dog and I lost the tip of one ear and I have some scars and wounds. My foster parents took me to the vet, and I’m getting antibiotics. The good news is the vet thinks I will recover, and she also thinks I’m still young; maybe 2 years old. I’ve put on some weight, and I’m up to 5.5 lbs. I’m a real survivor; I survived the dog, and a neglectful home, and I was chosen to be fostered when my time was up at the shelter. Despite all this, I have to admit that I still trust people, and I’m enjoying getting gentle pets and carrots. I am getting the hang of this litter box business! I’ve gone through so much, but I still need someone to love me. I’m neutered and ready for adoption now.
Contact Sharon at squirtbun@yahoo.com or contact the good people at the Burrow Inn if you are ready to give me the home I need! For more information about me and my family please go to www.rescuedbunnies.com.

Whisper
Hello, my name is Whisper, and like my name, I’m very soft and subtle. I’m a lovely cool chinchilla mix bunny, and I weigh a delicate 4.5 lbs. My foster parents think I’m young, under a year old. I’m the most sensitive of the all the bunnies here, and I would like a quiet, loving home. When you meet me, I’m rather shy, but if you keep trying, I’ll warm up to you. I’m not at all aggressive. Sometimes I get pushed around by the other girls, but I live happily with my more livelier friend Nichelle. Can you give me the attention I need to bring out my happy side? I am spayed and ready to enjoy a new home.
If you would like to meet me, please contact Sharon at squirtbun@yahoo.com, or contact the good people at the Burrow Inn. For more information about me and my family please go to www.rescuedbunnies.com.

Nichelle
Listen up, people! I’m Nichelle, and I’m black, bouncing and beautiful! I have a glossy black coat that shines and feels like silk. Even though I’m small, about 4 lbs, I have the energy of 10 bunnies. I love to bound around the house and explore. My foster parents think I’m young, maybe a year old, but a lady never tells! I’m not a lap bunny yet, there’s too much to check out around the house, but I do like to have pets when I finally relax. My wish is for a house with lots of room to run and dance, a nice two-legged friend, and lots of carrots and greens.
I’m spayed and health checked and ready for adoption right now. If you think you can catch up to me, email Sharon at squirtbun@yahoo.com or phone the Burrow Inn at (650) 994-1012. For more information about me and my family please go to www.rescuedbunnies.com.

Jeri
Hello, my name is Jeri, and I’m a former mommy. When my foster parents rescued me, I was underweight, bony and almost bald. You would be too, if you were the single mother of seven! But now the babies are grown up, and it’s time for me to retire to a home of my own. I’m a big girl, about 6 pounds. I could be about 2 years old. I have a lot going for me; I’m pretty mellow and easygoing, and got along well with the kids; if I say so myself, I have really good litterbox habits, and I’ll eat anything, but I’m not a big chewer. I think I’d like a companion; I’d be willing to try bonding. I get along well with human children, and wouldn’t mind being in a family. Oh, I’m also spayed and health checked.
If you would like to give me an active retirement, please contact Sharon at squirtbun@yahoo.com or phone Burrow Inn at (650) 994-1012. For more information about me and my family please go to www.rescuedbunnies.com.

Allie
Hello, there! I’m Allie, the long haired lovely! I’m a Jersey Wooley, with a longer coat that needs a little more brushing. But I’m worth it! Do you like that little punk tuft on my head? Even though I’m spayed and my foster parents think I’m about 2 years old, I have the energy of a youngster. I love to race around the exercise area with my kids, and I’ll climb on anything. Keep the goodies on a high counter! I’m really friendly and love pets and nose rubs. I like to explore, but I’ll always come back to you. To top it off, I have really good litterbox habits.
If you would like a truly fuzzy bunny, you can meet me by contacting Sharon at squirtbun@yahoo.com or phoning Burrow Inn at (650) 994-1012. I may be adopted by myself, but I would be happy if you also took my daughter Owl. We’re quite a pair! For more information about me and my family please go to www.rescuedbunnies.com.

Little Deer
Good morning, my name is Little Deer, and yes, I resemble a tiny golden fawn with big brown eyes. When I was rescued, I had 3 babies that were still in the nest. I was very protective, and guarded those babies until their eyes opened. Now they are grown, and I have been spayed and health checked. I’m now relaxed and ready for retirement in a quiet, loving home. I’m friendly and playful, and learning not to be shy. I’m still quite young, maybe 1-2 years old, and I’ve learned very good litterbox habits.
If you would like your own little dear, contact Sharon at squirtbun@yahoo.com or phone the Burrow Inn at (650) 994-1012. For more information about me and my family please go to www.rescuedbunnies.com.
