	World Spay Day   Related Articles HSUS Press Release Spay/Neuter FAQ Spay/Neuter = Win Win The Sad Truth about Rabbit Overpopulation House Rabbit joins with The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International in promoting World Spay Day on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, during Spay/Neuter Awareness Month. World Spay Day is an annual campaign that promotes spay/neuter as a proven, effective means of saving animals’ lives. Hundreds of World Spay Day events will take place in the United States and dozens of countries around the world, on World Spay Day and throughout the month of February. The Doris Day Animal Foundation, the ASPCA®, PetSmart Charities®, the House Rabbit Society and the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association serve as proud partners of World Spay Day 2012. House Rabbit Society is excited that this year's promotion prominently features rabbits and encourages the spay and neuter of domesticated rabbits to help combat the problem of rabbits in animal shelters around the world. Keep your eyes on this page for more information about events that HRS chapters will be engaged in! In Louisiana, our educator, June Booth, has partnered with the West Esplanade Veterinary Clinic to offer a free Spay or Neuter plus a free physical exam with an $85.00 donation to HRS. This offer will run through April 30th.
